DESIGNER STATEMENT
Back when I was 5, our kindergarten teacher asked us what we wanted to be when we grow up. I initially answered “I want to be a race car driver”. As time went by and as I matured, I wanted to design vehicles but not just a box with 4 wheels but something to change the world of transportation. In grade 4 a teacher inspired me to be environmentally aware and I have always had the need for speed since I was 5. This is why I went into design to pursue my dream of creating the best selling electric performance and luxury vehicles in the world.
THESIS
Redesigned 4 point seat belt to help people with low mobility, dexterity and vision while improving the over all safety in comparison to a standard 3 point seat belt design. The new design features movable anchor points for easy reach, automated rail to adapt to user’s size, self adjusting shoulder straps and a quick release button. This is an universal design that can be used for the average person as well but is intended as an aftermarket option to an existing vehicle as a starting point of production.
